New yoga videos to get us through social distancing

Dear mamas and mamas-to-be who are isolated at home,

I'm so sorry that we have to cancel Prenatal Yoga and Mom & Baby Yoga while we wait out this COVID-19 social distancing business. 😢

Pregnancy and new motherhood are times where the village should be coming together in support, and this is a challenging time to be separated. Parenthood can feel very isolating as it is, so please do what you can to connect with loved ones and friends online in a safe way. And you can always send me a message with questions or just to stay hi! 

Since we will not be meeting for a few weeks, I put together a couple videos you can practice at home.

Prenatal Yoga: I created 2 sequences - one is a slow flow with extra breath work and relaxation, and one is more strength-building. If you do not have yoga blocks, practice near the couch & use the couch or a chair to help support yourself. If you're tired or something doesn't feel right, rest.

Mariellen's Recommendations:

  • Stretch every morning for at least 5-10 minutes, and at least 5-10 minutes before bed 

  • Drink lots of water, go outside, take deep breaths 

  • Forgive yourself if you have no patience or if you're feeling stressed. It's justified! This is not a normal time!

Class info: 

  • Right now, my plan is to not have class until April 13. If that changes, I'll be sure to let you know & will update Jillian's calendar! 

  • If you have classes that you will not be able to use, you can transfer them to Mom & Baby yoga, or send me a message if you'd like to be reimbursed. 

I'll miss seeing you each week! I hope you are all staying healthy and navigating this situation with compassion to yourself & others.
