At first glance, design and yoga seem to be contradictory. Design fuels our senses — great works of art inspire us to look closer, touch, and breathe in the beauty of color, shape and form. Yoga teaches us to withdraw from our senses and tune inward, to leave the illusions of our limited perceptions behind and focus on the present moment. How can these two coexist?
In my opinion, design and yoga are as similar are they are different. Great art has the ability to make time stand still, to completely absorb you in the now. To feel, to be inspired, is to live in the present moment.
